Principal's Message
Dear Harley Avenue Families,
It is an honor to serve as Principal of Harley Avenue and to be part of the Elwood community.
As a member of the Elwood School District for the past several years, I understand the unique, close-knit nature of our community and the important role Harley Avenue plays in the lives of our youngest learners. Since becoming principal of Harley, I have had the privilege of getting to know our students, staff, and families, and I continue to be inspired by the care, dedication, and enthusiasm that define our school. I look forward to continuing to strengthen the meaningful connection between home and school.
At Harley Avenue, our goal is to create an environment where every child feels valued, supported, and inspired to grow. We are committed to helping each child build confidence, develop a love of learning, and feel a strong sense of belonging from the very start. We prioritize academic growth by ensuring that students develop essential skills through engaging, meaningful learning experiences that spark curiosity and encourage perseverance. Equally important, we focus on social-emotional development, helping students build positive relationships, express their feelings, and navigate challenges with confidence, resilience, and kindness. Together, these priorities reflect our shared commitment to nurturing the whole child and fostering a lifelong love of learning.
